A single flower in warm yellow and vibrant indigo blue forms the centerpiece of Flor Azul by Mexican artist Berenice Hernandez. Recalling the streets of her youth, the motif is a graphic representation of the plant filled urban landscapes she grew up around in southern and central Mexico. Set against a warm backdrop in beige, the flower floats in and around four black dots that ground the composition. A simple, yet bold expression of colour and life.
