The Pirtti ankle socks are made of a cotton blend terry knit and they feature flowers from the Unikko pattern flower.

The main material contains 85% organic cotton.

Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international icon of print design. The founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true essence of real flowers in print, which is why floral prints were earlier excluded from Marimekko collections. So, Maija Isola designed Unikko to be an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic rendition. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko´s design identity.

Pieni Unikko tea towel is made of unbleached cotton-linen blend and the pattern is printed in Helsinki.

This product contains 33% linen. The cotton used in this product is 46% recycled cotton. Unbleached fabrics as well fabrics containing recycled fibers, have a natural lively color and surface where small different colored areas may appear. There may be differences between products regarding this feature.

The cotton used in this product is 100% organic cotton. 50% of the polyester used in the oven mitten filling is recycled.
